The SandfordOur client helped design a fire surround that looks both elegant and simple. Their taste was towards simplicity. Having looked at many designs and pictures of fire surrounds in magazines and brochures, they felt any molds (design elaboration) on the legs and mantels may have appeared old fashioned. They decided to keep their designs to more contemporary and modern variations on a traditional fire surround, and so added an arch below the mantel for charcter. The Sandford is a simple, delicately arched Sandstone fire surround. The plain square cut surround proves that less can be more in a contemporary take on a traditional style.
