Inscribed Sandstone Gravestone

The picture shows the sandstone pet headstone in a bed of stone chippings. The final resting place of a dog named Willow.

The headstone shown is formed from a sandstone bolder where the edges have been allowed to maintain their natural rustic appearance and the front and back have been cut and polished to provide a smooth face which takes the inscribed lettering.

The letters are formed from template application. The Dogs name is inscribed in centrally aligned letters in an Old English serif font. This helps distinguish the name from the dates and personal message below.

The dates and message are in a sans serif font.

Engraving

We engraved the words and verse provided by the customer in small, finely engraved letters into the flat stone surface. We do this by precisely positioning template letters onto the stone surface so a sandblasting process can cut the elegant letters of the serif font.

All letters have a black base to contrast with the stone and make for easy reading.

The guide price for a bespoke memorial such as Willows is approximately £180, plus packaging and delivery.
